When You Are Tempted

When You Are Tempted

This is the shortest meditation I've recorded so far. I was thinking about how all of us are tempted to do the wrong things at times, but how often do we stop to meditate on God's word when we are in that situation, and especially what He has said about temptation. I realize that you won't always be able to listen to this when you are tempted, but by meditating on, and even memorizing, the scriptures in this meditation, you will be more prepared for those times when you are tempted.
Although this meditation is written to help in general times of temptation, I'm considering producing more short meditations along the lines of this one that help us as believers when we encounter specific temptations. There is no way to create meditations that relate to every possible temptation, but I may be able to write some that addresses the most common. Leave me a note in the comments if you would like to see more of these short meditations that address particular areas of temptation, and what temptations you most feel need to be addressed in this manner.

Scriptures: Matthew 12:33-37, Hebrews 2:18, Hebrews 4:16

Wonderful post! It’s hard to record meditations and yet you did it. It’s very useful.

It would be wonderful to have a meditation specifically for those who are addicted either to alcohol or drugs. That would be so helpful.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. We will keep it mind as we study and pray about future meditations.

Food and shopping temptations would be fantastic. I know those are big battles for me.
