He Had Compassion on Them

One of the passages in our Sunday school lesson this week was Matthew 9:35-38. As I meditated on this passage and prepared to teach my Sunday school lesson, I felt that Christ allowed me to look at other people with more compassion than I had before. He helped me to look at people as He sees them rather than the way I might normally see them. In this week's Christian guided meditation, we'll dive into these verses and ask God to help us do as Jesus did: he had compassion on them.

I really appreciate the many positive comments I've received about these meditations, please continue to let me know how these meditations have drawn you closer to Christ. If you have ideas for scriptural meditations you would like to see here, please contact me to let me know.

This really opened the eyes of my heart to see the human struggle through God’s heart of total comprehension, mercy, and patience. The Holy Spirit moved in me through this one!

love these meditations but in this one the music is not as simple and bit ominous. that makes it distracting.

Erin – Thanks for the feedback. I do try to find ‘appropriate’ background music, but always want it to be very much in the background. I see the primary purpose of the music in these mediations as helping to block out other noises around you to better help you focus. Of course, that doesn’t take place if your focus gets drawn to the music. I’m curious though if you happened to read Maureen’s comment before listening to this one and if that might have had some connection with making the background music more apparent. It may not have, just a thought. 🙂

I think I might have read that comment first…so yeah, it would have made me more aware.

    Hi Ricky
just commenting on the music that seem to be distracting for some.( although a long time ago)
I find your voice very relaxing and I think the background music in this segment would be better, so low that it is hardly audible.
I think your gentle voice will be enough to lead people into meditation. This is such a beautiful meditation.
thank you for the wonderful work that you do.
    God Bless You

Enjoyed the meditation. Could have done without the bits after the final prayer though. A bit offputting.

Thanks so much for your comment. We agree. Any meditations recorded since July 2014 and 2 others which we remastered do not have the bit at the end. Now we like to close with about 20 seconds of the background music slowly fading out after the prayer. Thanks again for the input.
