Great Christian leaders throughout history have meditated, experiencing God and allowing God to change their lives to His glory. God is now calling on His people to reclaim and revive the discipline of meditation according to biblical design. In this outstanding new book, Elmer Towns shows that Christian meditation is not about methods, positions, mantras, formulas or false religions. It is a dynamic process that will change your thought life, encouraging your growth in character and service. In a hectic world beset by mundane worries and driven by selfish pursuits, Towns urges us to slow down and catch up with our loving Father. Rediscover the lost art of meditating on the things of God-His character, His Word, His Creation and His amazing, redeeming work in our lives.
I have not read this book yet, but it looks great. Elmer Towns was one of my professors at seminary. He is a Biblically sound teacher and writer with the ability to explain complex issues in a simple, easy to understand way. Towns has written over 100 books and is a founder and Dean of the School of Religion of Liberty University.
