The Fruit of the Spirit

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit begins to live in us so He can teach us and lead us. As He lives in us, and we grow in Him, He builds nine characteristics of Godliness in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are all characteristics that all followers of Jesus should be producing in our lives. In this meditation, you will contemplate the The Fruit of the Spirit in your own life.

This particular meditation provides an overview of the nine fruits of the Spirit. In the upcoming guided Christian meditations, we will focus on each of the individual fruits more deeply, so that God may more plant them more deeply in our hearts. Be sure to let me know about your experience with this Christian guided meditation in the comments. (Photo by Nicu Buculei. Original. I suffer from insomnia and your guided meditations have helped me sooo much. I am filled with the peace of God after listening to your podcast.

Your ministry has saved me from looking into secular hypnotherapy meditations.

    Praise God and thank you.

I LOVE this site. Thank you for creating it. It is one of a kind and much needed in my life. It is so calm and relaxing. Love it. I was wondering if there is a meditation on self control? Nothing has power to control us. He has given us the Spirit of self control and power not one that fears. Fear is one of the biggest attacks on the heart, mind, soul and even our bodies if we slow it. We have self control. Peace n blessings Thank you for the encouragement.

Desire – Thank you for your kind words of appreciation and encouragement! I do have a meditation planned on self control. The next one in the series will be on gentleness and then self control will be after that. Unfortunately, I’m not sure when I might be able to produce it. I’ve been hoping to produce the one on gentleness for two years now! Ugh!

    Dear Pastor Ricky,

I have been battling a number of chronic (autoimmune) illnesses and high levels of pain for about 12 years.

My husband and I have written a book and produced a DVD to help other couples (and families) going through this difficult experience. We are blessed every time someone contacts us to tell us how our ministry of sorts has made a difference to them. So I feel more responsibility to not give up the fight myself.

For over 3 weeks I’ve had a secondary condition flare up and cannot seem to find relief no matter what treatments we try for me. I’ve begun to lose strength spiritually and fighting the temptation to give up completely.

I just started your series this week and it has given me new hope and encouragement to keep looking to Christ and His loving truths.

Thank you for this ministry and do not let the enemy frustrate you over the work you have yet to do. What you have already done is bringing God’ Light to many…
