Mindful Worship Meditation #31 – The Fruit of the Spirit is Faithfulness

Rose In HandsThis meditation is the eighth of a ten part series on The Fruit of the Spirit. So often, when we think of faithfulness, we consider only our own faithfulness toward God. However, just as God is faithful to us, so has he called us to be faithful to others. God wants people to see His faithfulness expressed through us toward them. In this meditation you’ll contemplate and explore God’s faithfulness toward you and the fruit of faithfulness in your own life–the fruit of the Spirit is Faithfulness.

We began this series with a contemplative overview of The Fruit of the Spirit, and the next five episodes focused on the fruits of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, and Goodness. If you would like to do this particular series of biblical meditations in order, you’ll want to begin with these seven meditations.

Once again, it’s hard to believe that it has been nearly 3 months since I’ve published a new meditation. I recently hired a Ministry Assistant, Josh Fredette, to help with many of the tasks here. Josh is a very talented musician and worship leader. He did the audio mixing and editing for this meditation. I think you’ll agree he did a fantastic job and is taking the quality here to a whole new level. Please take a moment to send him a message and welcome him to the ministry. We all face challenges, and it’s good to watch you overcoming yours. (One of mine was overcoming a computer crash that occurred about the same time as this last meditation was released!) I haven’t listened to this meditation yet -still getting iTunes set up- but I have faith that it will be at least as relaxing and inspiring as the previous thirty have been. Congratulations on acquiring some help, and may God continue to bless and sustain this ministry. It’s certainly been a blessing to me.

  2. This is a beautiful meditation ( as all others are) and
very helpful serving as a reminder to “trust” the LORD
on a day by day basis. Thank you for this website.

  3. just arrived home from 3 months in Az, feeling tired and
needing some rest from the long trip, I am always blessed
to come to your site to find these wonderful meditations.

  4. Ricky,

Just wanted to know if all is well. It has been a long time since your last meditation.

Just wanted you to know that the Lord placed you on my heart. I will pray for you.

You have blessed so many people – including me!

  5. Linda – Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! It certainly has been a long time. I’ve been working on writing #32- “The fruit of the Spirit is Gentleness” and I’m really hoping to get it finished and recorded in the next couple weeks. You may have read in my personal blog about some of my psychological challenges over the past few years. Just this week, I switched doctors and have started medication to help with my ADHD symptoms. We’re still monitoring and adjusting the medication, but it is helping me to make progress on some things that have been incredibly challenging for me in the past; this includes the work here in the Mindful Worship ministry. So, stay tuned, I don’t think it will be much longer now. :-)
