Articles and Blog Posts about Christian Meditation – Volume 1
One of the things I love the most about the Internet is how so many people freely share much of their knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. There is a lot of really good information online about Christian meditation and meditating on the Bible. Much of this is in online articles and blog posts. I seek out and read as much information as I can on the topic. Some of what I read is not very good, some of it is really ood, and some of it is great. Here are links to some of the best articles and blog posts on Christian mediation and meditating on God’s word that I’ve read in recent weeks. These are presented in no particular order. I hope you enjoy them!
- Rick Hubbell’s series at The Innovative Marketplace Christian entitled Creating Breakthrough in Your Life Through Biblical Meditation: Part 1: The Lost Art, Part 2: Starting, Speaking & Simplifying, Part 3: Depth, Soil & Digestion, Part 4: Intensity, Part 5 Building a Powerful Repertoire, Part 6 – Two Powerful Secrets, and Part 7 – Pressing Through & Conducting Power.
- Week four of Amanda Rooker’s series at Sustainable Communication entitled Virtual Immersion, Week 4: Meditation.
- J. Hampton Keathley’s article at bible.org entitled Biblical Meditation.
- The Navigator’s article at PreceptAustin entitled A Primer on Meditation.
- Michael Kemp’s article at Confidence in the Word entitled Experiencing the Bible’s Power – Biblical Meditation.
- Justice Mek’s article for eHow entitled How to Meditate: The Christian Way.
- John Thacker’s article at Redeemed Rambling entitled Spiritual Disciplines I: Meditation.
- An article at All About God entitled Christian Meditation – Is It Really Christian?
- John Aubin’s article at Ezine Articles entitled Is Christian Meditation a Way to Speak to God?.
As I find new articles and essays on Christian meditation and meditating on the scriptures, I’ll be periodically posting links to the ones that like the best and that I believe will give you the most value for your time spent reading and studying them. That’s why I called this, “Volume 1.” If you are aware of some articles, essays, or blog posts you would like me to consider for future volumes, feel free to contact me with a link to them. Ryan – Just pick any article and read it. They all have valuable information and don’t need to be read in any particular order–except for the ones with multiple parts of course.
