Mindful Worship Meditation #7 – In Tune with Him

Some time ago, I heard someone talking about dealing with stress in the workplace. He instructed his listeners to combat stress by periodically disengaging from what they were doing and taking a few silent minutes to get back in tune with the world around them. When I heard this, I thought about how the biggest source of stress in lives of most Christians is that we are too much in tune with the world, and too far out of tune with God. As we allow our spirits to become more in tune with Him, we are able to more clearly feel His presence in our lives, to hear His voice, and to do His will. I’ve written this meditation to help guide you in getting more in tune with Him. I think you’ll find it especially helpful in those times when your world has become more stressful and your focus has turned away from Christ and on to the issues of the day.

I always love to her your comments about these meditations, so feel free to let me know how this meditation has affected your life by posting a comment below. If you have ideas for scriptural meditations you would like to see here, please contact me to let me know.

  1. Hi,

I have just found this wonderful site today, I have already
been listening to your christian meditations. They are
GREAT and so relaxing and peaceful.

I am concerned about signing up because you do not have
a phone# to refer to just an e-mail address.

  2. Maureen – Thank you for the compliments! I apologize for the oversight; I’ve added a mailing address and contact phone number on the Contact Me page.

  3. I have been so blessed to find this website and awesome meditations focusing on Christ and His word. I have never felt comfortable with the Eastern meditation practices, but have needed something to help keep me focused. This is just what I have been looking for. Thank you Ricky! My racing mind is so much quieter. As soon as I have employment I want to sign up for your weekly meditations.

  4. Kathy – Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m glad to hear these are helping you with the racing mind. When I meditate on the scriptures myself, I have all sorts of thoughts and connections come into my mind. Filtering through those and sharing the best ones for others to follow along with is a big part of the meditations here. God just made of some of us with busier minds than others. We just need to celebrate that and use it for His glory. :o )
